Fifteen-year-old Reesa was murdered on June 15, 1984, and her younger sister, Jodie, who was 13 at the time, says she immediately became a prime suspect. She says not only did the police interrogate her multiple times, but the townspeople started gossiping about her – accusing her of killing her only sibling -- and haven’t stopped.

“The whole town immediately turned against me,” Jodie claims. “Most of my friends could no longer really have anything to do with me; they were either afraid of me, or their parents were afraid of me.”

Jodie says that even her mom questioned her. “She would say things like, ‘Jodie, are you sure there’s nothing you want to tell me? You can tell me anything. I’ll still love you no matter what,’” Jodie claims. “She would just hint around that she wanted me to confess something, but I had nothing to confess.”
