Lara and her husband, Bill, have been together for 20 years and married for 12. The couple says that at least once or twice a week, they get into a “bad” argument, and the word “divorce” has come up more than once.
 
“I get so frustrated with Bill sometimes that I raise my voice,” Lara says. “When he says he wants a divorce, I want to hit him. I want him to stop. I want him to quit hurting me by using that word.”
 

“What sets me off is she just keeps on nagging and nagging,” Bill says. “I don’t want a divorce, but we’ve got to find some kind of way to work it out.”
