Stephanie says she has a strained relationship with her mother, Jode, and that she’s felt a lack of compassion from her since she was a young child.

“I always wanted my mom to love me, to hug me, and say that she was proud of me,” Stephanie says. “My mother has never done any of that.”

Stephanie claims that her mother has been “jealous” of her, her entire life. “She wants to be me,” Stephanie says. “When I was in high school, she even made comments about how she wants my skin, she wants my nose, she wants my legs. I would come home, and she would be trying on my clothes.”

Jode admits that she’s made comments about her daughter’s appearance but says they were compliments. She claims Stephanie is delusional and has erratic behavior.

“I don’t feel safe around my mom. I’ve always felt that she wants me to go away, be raped, be murdered,” Stephanie claims. “My whole life, I feel like my mom’s been trying to get rid of me, then she could be me, the perfect little angel. I want her to stop taking away my thunder.”
