“I’ve been struggling with addiction since I was 8 years old,” says Kelli. “I began to see my dad again. I saw that he was drinking, smoking pot, so I started stealing his pot and experimenting with pot and alcohol.”

Now 32, Kelli says she uses heroin daily. She says she’s been to multiple detox and rehab centers but can’t stay clean – and recently overdosed twice within five days. “Dr. Phil is my last hope,” she says. “I either take his advice, or I die.”

In the video above, hear what Kelli says about her childhood and why she says she turned to drugs.

On Monday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "'Come Clean to Get Clean'," hear Kelli’s mom’s theory about why her daughter can’t kick her drug habit. Does Kelli want to get clean? Check local listings to see where you can tune in.
