Woman Who Spent Her Childhood In Foster Care Meets Recently Discovered Sibling For The First Time
Lisa, who was homeless for a few years after aging out of the foster care system, says she has always wanted to reconnect with her family and have a relationship with them. She found one of her sisters through social media and, more recently, located some half-siblings on her father’s side of the family, including her brother, Dean, whom she has never met.
“Lisa and Dean live in different states, and since it’s been tough for them to figure out a way to meet, I figured I would help out,” says Dr. Phil.
This episode of Dr. Phil, “Aging Out Of Foster Care,” airs Tuesday. And later, Dr. Phil talks to Ne’a, who says that since aging out of foster care, she has discovered the extended foster care program and is fighting to make a better future for herself.
