Monica says she was diagnosed with C. diff (Clostridioides difficile) shortly after giving birth to her son two years ago. The disease, which starts with a bacterial infection, causes severe diarrhea and inflammation of the colon, which she says causes her to spend the majority of her time either in bed or in the bathroom.

In addition to C. diff, Monica, who weighs approximately 90lbs., also says she has Lyme Disease and Sleep-Related Eating Disorder (S.R.E.D.), all of which have left her in immense pain with “zero quality of life.”

“I have family that don’t understand, and they’re very judgmental,” says the 38-year-old. She claims that some family members think she should give up her child, which she adamantly refuses to do.

Monica’s mother, Stephanie, says that Monica is “100% dependent” on her – and that includes being the sole caregiver to Monica’s son.

Watch the video above to hear why Stephanie says she worries that her grandson “needs a younger person to be raising him.”
