Willow says that she is filled with anger and feels like “lava boiling up.” The 15-year-old says she is particularly set off when someone tells her "no," which leads to her screaming, punching, and hitting, hoping to hurt someone. She says she has taken medication for as long as she can remember, but nothing helps calm her rage.
While speaking to the teen and learning that she was violated as a child, Dr. Phil says that Willow's feelings surrounding that could be driving her behavior.

Dr. Phil invites Dr. Charles Sophy, child and family psychiatrist and member of the Dr. Phil Advisory Board, to weigh in with his thoughts on how Willow can get on track to heal.
“You can’t medicate the pain that she’s in,” Dr. Sophy says. “We have to deal with the pain you’re in.”
