He has been dating Michelle for eight years and admits he has been mentally and emotionally abusive. And, he reunited with his daughter Kaley, who was born out of an affair, but their relationship was filled with tension as well.

TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: At your final breaking point?

On Wednesday’s episode of Dr. Phil, Dennis claims that he has been cheated on since the first girl he was with and every girl after that, and he has “developed a bitter taste in my eyes and my mind for women.”

In the video above, Dr. Phil offers some insight into Dennis’ behavior. “When I see somebody being self-destructive, and I think you are, I ask myself why,” Dr. Phil says. “I see you treating women with indignity. I see you treating women with disrespect. I see you treating women in a way that reflects what you just told me that you think about them. Your attitude, in my opinion, about women is ‘Get them before they get me, because they are going to get me. Because everyone I’ve ever been with has cheated on me, or let me down or broken my heart in some way, and I just know that’s the nature, and so I’m not going to let them hurt me.’”
