Mad says she became addicted to what she believed at the time to be prescription medication that she started buying through social media to treat her anxiety. She says she later learned the pills she had purchased were counterfeit pharmaceuticals laced with Fentanyl.

“The entire time, you don’t want to do it. You want to stop, but your body won’t let you,” says Mad.
