Danny Santulli was a freshman at the University of Missouri in the fall of 2021 when he pledged a fraternity. One night during a hazing event, he was blindfolded, given a bottle of vodka, and told to drink the entire bottle, according to his parents, Tom and Mary Pat.

“I believe that the bottle was taped to his hand,” Mary Pat says. “He put the bottle down probably four times, and his pledge dad would give it back to him.”

Tom adds, “After a while, he was getting messed up, and Danny would say, ‘No more, no more. I’m done.’ And then someone said to him, ‘There’s no [expletive] in the house tonight.’”

Mary Pat and Tom say, later that night, they got a call from an Emergency Room doctor. In their first national interview, hear what the parents say their son endured that evening and see the surveillance video. And, the family gives a glimpse into the aftermath of his tragic incident and what life is like now for Danny, a once vibrant young man with his whole life ahead of him.
