Jennifer says her son, Alex, has had behavior issues since he was little, but now that he spends hours playing violent video games, his behavior has become 10 times worse. She says she’s given him a computer, gaming consoles and a cell phone, but he acts “very abusive and disrespectful” toward her. She says the 12-year-old has even locked her out of the house demanding she bring him Starbucks and tried to set the house on fire. She says she now worries he may become a school shooter.

After pointing out to Jennifer that she is giving Alex the games, equipment and money for extras, Dr. Phil says to her, “You’re the one providing him the games that you think are dysfunctional.”
